A New York man has been charged with committing long-term, systemic insurance fraud after receiving five years of workers compensation payments. If you or someone you love has had difficulty receiving workers compensation benefits, the New Jersey workers comp lawyers of Levinson & Axelrod may be able to help.

The 38-year-old man filed a claim in 2003 saying he’d slipped on ice on his way to work. A workers compensation board found that he had a permanent partial disability as a result, and he has received $25,326 in payments. An investigation is questioning his claims, and he is going on trial to face felony charges of offering a false instrument for filing, insurance fraud, and breaking workers compensation laws.
