Forklifts Cause of Many Serious Worker Accidents

Posted on November 20th, 2009 1 Comment

The use of forklifts is absolutely necessary for some jobs to be completed. Forklifts can make the difference in a warehouse when attempting to arrange and move large amounts of items. Although forklifts are an important tool for an organization, it is important to remember that only trained professionals should be operating the vehicle. An inexperienced individual operating a forklift can cause a serious accident to occur.

Many accidents occur each year where a worker receives a serious injury as a result of a forklift. The injuries can range from relatively minor such as falling from the vehicle, to very serious such as being struck by the vehicle or stabbed by the forks. Only trained professionals should operate a forklift to help keep the work place safe.

I’ve had to use forklifts in my time, but I’ve never been injured. I have seen some other people get in some nasty scrapes with them though.
