AGs in NY, NJ, Montana Threaten FedEx Lawsuit

Posted on Thursday, November 5th, 2009 at 12:41 pm

The attorney generals of New York, New Jersey, and Montana are threatening to bring litigation against FedEx Corp. due to the way they are classifying their drivers as independent contractors. If your employer is taking advantage of you, the workers compensation lawyers of Levinson & Axelrod can help you fight for your rights.

According to the offices of the attorney generals of the states in question, they will bring legal action against FedEx Ground Package System if they do not change their policy, which violates state labor laws. The company is currently listing its drivers as independent contractors, denying them workers compensation benefits which they are legally required to provide. If the company wants to avoid litigation, they will have to change this policy immediately.

If you or someone you love has been injured in a workplace accident, the New Jersey workers compensation attorneys of Levinson & Axelrod may be able to get the money you deserve.
