A 31-year-old contract worker was killed in a construction workplace accident after falling 35 feet into an empty swimming pool.

Officials from the Occupational Safety Health Administration are already on the scene investigating the cause of the fall, but it is thought that parts of a metal roof the man was standing on gave way.

The man and fellow workers were working on the roof of a recreation center that was being renovated when the fall occurred.  Further details into the accident have not bee released.

Workplace accidents can cause serious injury and change the lives of all people effected by it, our condolences are with the friends and family of the victim.
